4 Altcoin Likely to Be Added to the U.S. Crypto Strategic Reserve!

Nazarov’s presence at this event raised speculation that Trump might recognize LINK in his upcoming crypto announcement.

In addition, last week Nazarov also met with Congressman Tom Emmer and Bo Hines, Executive Director of the President’s Working Group on Digital Assets. This meeting further fueled speculation that Chainlink (LINK) could enter the US strategic reserve.

From a technical perspective, on March 5, 2024, Chainlink (LINK) became one of the most attractive altcoins to buy after experiencing a 6% increase in the last 24 hours, trading at $14.94.

The Chaikin Money Flow (CMF) indicator shows increased buying pressure, which could push the price up further. If Chainlink is able to break the resistance at $22, a rally towards the 178.6% Fibonacci level could happen.

Litecoin (LTC)

Litecoin (LTC) is also on the list of altcoins that could potentially make it to the US crypto reserve, given its similarities to Bitcoin. In addition, Litecoin currently has an ETF filing that is still awaiting approval from the SEC.

According to Bloomberg analysts, Litecoin could potentially be the second altcoin to get an ETF in the US, as the SEC has never classified LTC as a security. This regulatory clarity makes Litecoin one of the strong candidates for inclusion in the strategic reserve.

As of March 5, 2025, the Litecoin price was trading at $102 after a 2% decline in the last 24 hours, in line with the bearish trend in the broader market. However, Litecoin’s fundamentals remain strong, with the network experiencing rapid growth after the hash rate tripled in the last 12 months.

This increase reflects the confidence of miners, which supports a bullish outlook for Litecoin prices in the future.

Polka dot (DOT)

Even so, Polkadot founder Gavin Wood has not confirmed whether he was invited to the White House Crypto Summit. If Wood is present at this meeting, the chances of DOT being included in the strategic reserve could be even greater.

On Wednesday, selling pressure was still weighing on Polkadot prices, with the RSI dropping to 41. However, the DOT was in a demand zone, which could trigger buying activity and push prices up to the resistance at $5.20.

Hedera (HBAR)

Hedera (HBAR) also has the potential to be one of the altcoins included in the US strategic reserve. The asset has attracted more attention since Grayscale filed for an HBAR spot ETF with the SEC.

If this ETF is approved, it will strengthen HBAR’s regulatory status and increase its chances of being included in the reserve.

Although the overall cryptocurrency market is still in a bearish trend, the price of Hedera (HBAR) has actually experienced significant gains in the past week. On March 5, HBAR was trading at $0.25, having surged 26% in the last seven days.
