Jakarta, Pintu News – In 2025, the Ethereum Foundation (EF) is undergoing major changes with a new leadership structure and a renewed focus on key development priorities. These changes were announced by Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin in January.

Leadership Change and New Focus

The Ethereum Foundation (EF) has named new leaders for each strategic area as part of their efforts to make Ethereum (ETH) faster, more scalable, and easier to use.

Tim Beiko and Ansgar Dietrichs will lead Layer 1 scaling efforts, while Alex Stokes and Francesco D’Amato will take care of Layer 2 scaling. On the user experience side, Barnabé Monnot and Josh Rudolf will work on making Ethereum more intuitive and accessible. Dankrad Feist will support all these lines as an advisor.

With this new structure, the Ethereum Foundation is committed to focusing its operational strategy on three key priorities: scaling Layer 1, scaling blobs (data availability), and improving user experience.

These goals are now tied to clear initiatives with defined leadership and coordination structures. The Foundation emphasized the importance of making these goals the driving force behind every decision.

Recent Developments and Their Impact

Ethereum’s latest update, known as “Pectra”, was launched on May 7 and is a major step in the network’s continued evolution. The update increases the staking limit to 2,048 ETH and also improves the consensus protocol and user wallet features, making the network more efficient and user-friendly.

The broader goal is to make storing over $1,000 easy and secure for everyday users, while also giving large institutions the confidence to invest over $1 trillion in a single smart contract.

Conclusion

With this change, analysts have become more optimistic, some even targeting a price of $4,000 for Ethereum (ETH). Currently, Ethereum (ETH) is trading at $2,630, still about 46% below its all-time high of $4,891.
