Slippage is the difference between the price listed in real-time and the price we get when buying. It occurs due to rapid price fluctuations. Slippage is a common occurrence in many asset markets. However, the impact is more severe in the crypto market due to high price fluctuations and low trading volume on some platforms or altcoin assets.

Slippage can be detrimental to investors or traders especially if the price difference is quite large. Therefore, most crypto exchange platforms have determined the percentage so that users do not experience big losses.

In a decentralized exchange platform like DEX, you can set your own range.
