In Indonesia, crypto trading is regulated by the Ministry of Trade through Bappebti.
The Ministry of Trade issued Regulation of the Minister of Trade (Permendag) No. 99 of 2018 concerning General Policies for the Implementation of Crypto Asset Futures Trading and Minister of Trade Regulation No. 119 of 2018 concerning General Policies for Digital Gold Physical Market Trading in the Futures Exchange.
The Ministerial Regulation was then followed up by Bappebti which issued 4 (four) regulations legalizing the trade in digital commodities of crypto assets and digital gold.

These regulations are made to provide space for the development of digital commodity innovation businesses, business certainty in the digital sector for crypto traders, provide legal certainty and protection for the community (including customer funds or users of crypto assets or digital gold), and contain anti-money laundering provisions. And prevention of terrorism financing (APU / PTT).
