LayerAI (formerly CryptoGPT) is a layer-2 blockchain on Ethereum that focuses on building a data economy by monetizing user data for AI models. LayerAI does this through two apps, LayerVPN and LayerAI. Users have to download and use these two apps and then purchase a data capsule NFT. After owning a data capsule and using LayerVPN, users are rewarded with DATUM tokens for using the app.
The LAI token (formerly called GPT) is the main utility token of the LayerAI platform. LAI is used to pay transaction fees, as a staking token, and provides many benefits to LayerAI app users.
