Hyperdrive DeFi Hit by Cyber Attack, Losses Reach $773,000!

According to reports from blockchain security firm PeckShield, two accounts within Hyperdrive’s thBILL marketplace were successfully hacked by irresponsible actors.

Incident Details

In the incident, the perpetrators managed to steal 288.37 Binance Coin and 123.6 Ethereum . The stolen funds were then divided and redirected to various other blockchains. Although thBILL tokens and HYPED liquid staking tokens (LST) were not affected, the incident raised concerns among users.

Hyperdrive has taken swift action by pausing all money markets as a precautionary measure. An investigation conducted immediately identified the cause of the problem and has been corrected to prevent similar incidents in the future.

Hyperdrive Response and Action

In response to this incident, Hyperdrive has temporarily suspended all activity on its money market and is currently working on a compensation plan for affected accounts.
