Gambar Chainlink vs XRP: Who will Dominate the Next Decade?

Jakarta, Pintu News – The founder of crypto newsletter, Lark Davis, argues that the next decade will most likely favor LINK over XRP.

This opinion comes amid recent developments from Chainlink and Ripple in strengthening their respective ecosystems.

Lark Davis shared his views on the comparison between two crypto ecosystems, namely Chainlink (LINK) and Ripple (XRP), in an interview on Rollup TV.

On this occasion, he was asked to compare the two tokens. According to Davis, within the next ten years, LINK will outperform XRP.

“I think Chainlink is a much better asset than XRP… I don’t currently own LINK, but I believe it’s a much better asset. Their CCIP technology is very convincing,” he said.

Davis explained that the two systems have different approaches. Ripple, he says, is more focused on its own internal ecosystem and is looking to attract support from major banks and payment systems.

Although XRP has been around for over a decade and has a loyal user base, Davis feels that it is rarely used in daily activities-and this is considered a shortcoming. Instead, he highlighted Chainlink’s ability to connect various networks.

“Chainlink has the infrastructure to allow separate silos to communicate with each other and move assets-like moving corn from one silo to another. It’s amazing technology. And now they’re also starting to do token buybacks, and things like that,” Davis added.

Despite Davis’ misgivings, he admits that XRP continues to attract institutional investment. Spot XRP ETFs have even crossed the $1 billion mark in total inflows.

The crypto founder said that he understands why many people are interested in XRP. He also added that if the project is fully realized, XRP still has upside potential.

“I understand why people are investing in XRP… If Chris and Brad run everything right and everything goes well, the price could go up to $10.”

Earlier this month, Coinbase’s Layer-2 network, Base, launched its first official bridge to Solana . This allows assets to move between blockchains without the need to rely on complex third-party tools. This marks a major advancement in cross-chain interoperability, and Chainlink plays an important role in this.

Beyond its bridge function, Chainlink is also increasingly playing a role in tokenizing real-world assets into digital assets. The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC), a critical institution in the US financial market infrastructure, has received regulatory approval to begin a pilot program for their new digital asset system.

Chainlink will be used in this project, which is planned to launch in the second half of 2026.

In addition, earlier this year, Chainlink assisted the US Department of Labor in bringing macroeconomic data to the blockchain. As an oracle, Chainlink delivered official data from the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) directly to the blockchain network, making the data usable in smart contracts and decentralized finance applications.

Furthermore, Grayscale has also launched the first Chainlink ETF in the US, with the ticker symbol GLNK. This product provides investors with a way to invest in LINK through a regulated channel, opening up greater access for institutional and individual investors looking to enter the crypto market in a safe and legal way.

All these achievements strengthen Chainlink’s case as a critical infrastructure in the world of blockchain and digital finance.
