Cardano Founder Announces 24/7 Development Model to Accelerate Leios Progress!

Jakarta, Pintu News – Charles Hoskinson, founder and CEO of Input Output-the technical company behind Cardano -announced this in a recent live broadcast.

To illustrate, Ouroboros Leios is a major upgrade for Cardano designed to significantly increase network scalability and transaction processing capacity.

This update aims to realize that target by allowing transactions to be processed in parallel through a three-layer block structure. First introduced in 2022, Leios continues to be actively developed alongside various other Cardano-related projects and updates.

New Development Model to Accelerate Leios Progress

Interestingly, Hoskinson emphasized how important Leios is, even calling it the most urgent program for the Cardano network. Based on this urgency, he announced the implementation of a follow-the-sun development model to accelerate the progress of Leios.

As explained, this model allows the Leios development process to continue non-stop throughout the day. Teams spread across different time zones and continents work in shifts, allowing progress to continue.

With this system, once one team finishes its shift, another team in a different time zone immediately resumes work, creating a 24/7 development cycle. Hoskinson also revealed that the community can monitor the pace of Leios’ development through GitHub, wheretimestamps and commits will show the ongoing development activity.

No Tolerance for Rejection

Hoskinson emphasized that he would not tolerate those who rejected the new approach. According to him, engineering team members who doubted or rejected the method have been transferred to other positions, while others have had their contracts terminated.

He also revealed that new developers are being recruited with full focus on accelerating Leios’ progress. Explaining why, Hoskinson emphasized that the Leios upgrade-which was first introduced in 2022-had been delayed too long and was now “competitively critical.”

As a follow-up, IOG brought in more agile engineers to work full-time on the Leios, replacing those who were seen as slowing down the upgrade process.

Hoskinson himself has consistently shown his support for Leios. Earlier this year, he even mentioned that Leios along with other updates in the Cardano ecosystem have the potential to make Cardano the fastest blockchain project in the world, with a chance to even surpass its main competitors, namely Solana and Ethereum .
