Pintu Simplified Perps

This page answers the most common questions about Pintu Simplified Perps. Pick a topic below to jump straight to what you need.

1. What is Simplified Perps?
A streamlined futures trading view on the Pintu App. You only need to decide one thing: Long or Short. It’s designed for retail users new to derivatives trading.

2. What can I do on the Markets page?
The Markets page lists contracts as cards, each showing last price, 24h volume, leverage, Long/Short ratio, Win Rate, and PnL ROI. You can:

  • Search for a contract by name
  • Sort the list by price, Win Rate, or PnL ROI
  • Favourite a contract by tapping the star icon
  • Open a position directly by tapping Long or Short on the card, without visiting the trade page first

3. What information is available on the trade page?
The trade page has three main sections:

  • Price Info Bar: last price, Mark Price, 24H change, 24H high/low, and volume, all updating in real-time
  • Live Chart: adjustable timeframes (1m, 15m, 1H, 4H, 1D), switchable between simple line chart or TradingView
  • Funding Rate: current rate plus a countdown to the next funding event

4. What is Position Distribution?
It shows the percentage of other Pintu users currently Long or Short on the same contract. This section includes educational labels and a disclaimer that it’s not financial advice. Calculations only include Pintu users’ open position volume, excluding Market Makers.

5. How do I select a direction and fill in an order?
Tap Long or Short to set your direction. The system shows a visual confirmation and a forecast message like “You forecast BTC will go up.” Next, enter your order amount in the “You Pay” field, in USDT. A minimum amount applies.

6. What’s the maximum leverage, and why do I need to agree to terms first?
Leverage can be set up to 25x via a slider. Margin and estimated liquidation price update automatically as leverage changes. Since Simplified Perps uses isolated margin exclusively, you must accept the terms before opening your first position. This agreement is timestamped and recorded.

7. Why is every order a Market Order, and why is the minimum amount sometimes uneven?
All orders on Simplified Perps execute as Market Orders. Behind the scenes, the system still applies a limit order with roughly 2.5% price protection, keeping execution prices reasonable. Uneven minimum amounts come from each asset’s minimum tick size. BTC, for example, has a minimum tick of 0.001 BTC, so the system rounds to the nearest valid size.

8. What happens after I tap Long or Short?
A confirmation bottom sheet appears, showing the order type (Market Order), estimated entry price, and estimated liquidation price. Tap Confirm to execute, or Cancel to return to the form with your inputs preserved.

9. How do I monitor my open positions?
The Positions tab shows your count of active positions. Each one displays entry price, PnL, liquidation price, and margin, updating in real-time. If there’s no position for that contract, you’ll see “No Open Position for This Contract.”

10. When can I set Take Profit and Stop Loss?
Only after your position is open. This isn’t available during the initial order form, keeping the opening flow simple for new users.

11. How do I adjust an open position?
Two types of adjustment are available for isolated margin positions:

  • Add/Remove Margin: add margin to push the liquidation price further away, or withdraw margin to your free balance. Margin locked into one position reduces what’s available for your other cross positions in the same Futures Wallet.
  • Resizing a position: adjusting an open position’s size is currently only available through the Pro view.

12. How do I close a position?
Tap the close action on the active position card. The position closes instantly, is removed from your open list, and your PnL is realized.

13. How is Simplified Perps different from Pro?
Simplified Perps uses a dark theme with bottom navigation (Home, Market, Trade, Futures, Wallet), focused on one decision: Long or Short. The backend remains shared with Pro — there’s only one Futures Wallet, with no separate wallet for isolated margin.

⚠️ Important: Leveraged futures trading carries high risk. Margin locked into one isolated position can affect the liquidation risk of your other positions. Make sure you understand the mechanics before opening a position.
