What is the Insurance Fund?

Auto-Deleveraging (ADL) is a protective risk-management mechanism in futures trading designed to keep the platform stable during extreme market conditions. When a liquidation occurs, the system first relies on the Insurance Fund to cover any losses. If those losses exceed the Insurance Fund&rsquo;s capacity, ADL is activated. In this situation, the system automatically reduces or closes profitable or highly leveraged positions on the opposite side of the liquidated trade. This ensures the process remains orderly and helps maintain a safer, more balanced trading environment for all users.

What is Auto-Deleveraging?

Swap &amp; Transfer is a feature that enables users to convert IDRT into USDT and directly transfer it to the Futures margin wallet in a single, seamless process.

Why are the wallets between Pintu Pro Spot and Pintu Futures separated?

Margin&nbsp;is the amount of funds a trader deposits with an exchange as collateral to open a position in&nbsp;perpetual trading. This collateral serves as protection for the exchange against potential losses from the trader&rsquo;s position.

Your Margin Balance is the total amount of funds in your Futures wallet, including:

This is the amount of margin temporarily locked for pending orders (including limit and stop orders that have not been executed yet).

This is the minimum margin required to keep a position open. If your account value drops below the MM threshold, the system will liquidate your position to avoid further loss.

For a $1,000 position, MM required = $10



If your margin balance falls under this, the position gets liquidated.

This is your free-to-use margin, the funds not currently locked in open positions or open orders.



You can use Available Margin to:

Pintu Futures now supports the adjustable leverage feature, allowing you to customize your leverage level based on your trading needs. You can start with a lower leverage or increase it up to 25x.

How do I adjust leverage on Pintu Futures?

Margin usage will be considered &lsquo;danger&rsquo; when it surpasses 75%. This means your position is at risk of liquidation. Liquidation will occur when margin usage reaches 100%. 



The calculation mechanism for margin usage is as follows:

When margin usage enters the danger zone, you can lower it by adding more margin or closing open orders.

What does the Usage Margin in the Danger Stage Mean?

When margin usage reaches 100%, the exchange will do a pre-check before liquidating your account. If you have open orders, the exchange will cancel all your open orders to lower your margin usage level. However, if you do not have any open orders, the exchange will liquidate your futures account by taking over all open positions as well as all the remaining margin balance.

What happens when the Margin Usage (MU) indicator reaches 100%?

Why am I not able to open a new position or place a new order?

Entry price refers to the price at which a trader opens long or short positions. 



Mark price is a reference price used for perpetual futures profit and loss valuation as well as risk management. The mark price is calculated from a weighted average of index prices from global crypto exchanges adjusted for funding. 



Liquidation price is the price point at which the exchange will liquidate a trader&rsquo;s position to prevent further losses. Before reaching the liquidation price, the exchange will give a warning through a margin call so that traders can close their positions manually or deposit additional funds.

What are entry price, mark price, and liquidation price?

Market close is an instruction to close a position based on the best price in the order book (real-time). Limit close is an instruction to close a position automatically when the asset reaches a specified target price.

What are Market Close and Limit Close?

Funding rates is the rate used to determine the funding settlement in perpetual futures contracts, given the absence of an expiration date. Funding rates ensure that the funding mechanism tether the futures price to the mark price. This alignment aims to prevent price divergence between the two markets.

Funding settlement is a periodic payment made between long and short positions holders based on the prevailing funding rate.



Funding settlements are made every 8-hour interval at 7:00 WIB, 15:00 WIB, and 23:00 WIB. If the funding rate is positive, traders with long positions will pay those with short positions. If the funding rate is negative, traders with short positions will pay traders with long positions.



Users will only pay or receive funding if they have a position when the settlement happens. You will not pay or receive funding if you close your position before the funding settlement.

What is Funding Rate?

To understand perpetual trading, we must first grasp the concept of derivatives. A derivative is a financial instrument whose value is derived from an underlying asset, in this case, a cryptocurrency.



In traditional derivative products such as futures contracts, each contract has an expiration date. On the other hand, perpetual trading is a contract with no expiration date. This means that traders can hold long or short positions for as long as they desire.
