<p>You can set TP and SL when placing an order, or by modifying an already-open position. Just enter your desired price level in the relevant field.</p>



<p><strong>Can I use Take Profit and Stop Loss on the same position?</strong><br>Yes, you can use both at the same time to manage your profit target and stop loss simultaneously.</p>



<p><strong>Do TP/SL orders always execute exactly at the set price?</strong><br>Under normal market conditions, orders usually execute close to the set price. During high volatility, there may be some slippage.</p>



<p><strong>Why hasn&#8217;t my Stop Loss order executed?</strong><br>This may happen if the market hasn&#8217;t reached the set price level, or during extreme volatility causing slippage.</p>



<p><strong>Is there a fee to set TP/SL?</strong><br>No additional fee. You only pay the standard trading fee when the order executes.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="whatissharepnl">What is the Share PnL feature at Pintu Futures?</h3>



<p>Share PnL lets you share the unrealized profit or loss from your open position directly to various channels. Alternatively, you can download your Share PnL file as an image to your device.</p>



<p><strong>Where can I find the Share PnL button?</strong><br>Look for the share button in the top-right corner of each open position.</p>



<p><strong>Can I share PnL from a closed position?</strong><br>No. You can only share PnL from an open position.</p>



<p><strong>Is this available for Pintu Spot Trading or Pintu Pro Spot Trading?</strong><br>Currently, Share PnL is only available on Pintu Futures.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="whatisswaptransfer">What is Swap &amp; Transfer at Pintu Futures?</h3>



<p>Swap &amp; Transfer lets you convert <strong>IDRT to USDT</strong> and send it directly to your Futures margin wallet — in one step. You no longer need to manually buy USDT on the Spot market and transfer it separately to your Futures wallet.</p>



<p><strong>Is there a fee?</strong><br>Yes, but only the standard trading fee that applies when buying USDT with IDR. There&#8217;s no additional fee for the transfer process.</p>



<p><strong>How do I use it?</strong></p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="cfxexchangefee">About Exchange Fees (CFX) at Pintu</h3>



<p>Starting <strong>March 1, 2026</strong>, every buy/sell transaction at Pintu is charged a CFX fee of <strong>0.0111%</strong> (tax included).</p>



<p><strong>Why does Pintu charge a CFX fee?</strong><br>Pintu is officially licensed as a Physical Crypto Asset Trader by BAPPEBTI (Decree No. 01/BAPPEBTI/PFAK/08/2024). Pintu is also a member of the <strong>Nusantara Commodity Exchange (CFX)</strong>, Indonesia&#8217;s first crypto exchange. Per Exchange regulations, licensed crypto asset traders must charge a 0.0111% exchange fee for every buy/sell transaction.</p>



<p><strong>How is this implemented?</strong><br>The CFX fee is already included in the final price when you buy/sell.</p>

<p>Pintu has no trading volume limit for perpetual trading.</p>



<p>For position value, each trading pair has its own limit — but don&#8217;t worry, the limits are very high.</p>

<p>If you use Market Order, the position opens immediately and appears under the <strong>Positions</strong> tab. If you use Limit Order, it stays under the <strong>Open Order</strong> tab until the target price is reached.</p>

<p>Because you don&#8217;t have enough <strong>available margin</strong>.</p>



<p>To open a new position/order, add margin first via transfer, or cancel your existing open order.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="closeallpositions">Can I close all positions at once on Pintu Futures?</h3>



<p>No. You need to close positions <strong>one at a time</strong>.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="walletsseparated">Why are the Pintu Pro Spot and Pintu Futures wallets separated?</h3>



<p>There are 2 reasons:</p>



<p><strong>1. Different risk profiles</strong><br>Spot trading exchanges assets instantly, while futures trading involves contracts with future settlement and leverage. Leverage can amplify both gains and losses, making it riskier. Separate wallets help Pintu isolate the risk of each trading type.</p>



<p><strong>2. Margin requirements</strong><br>Futures trading requires margin (collateral), while spot trading doesn&#8217;t. Separate wallets ensure futures margin requirements run independently, preventing fund mixing and potential margin calls affecting your spot wallet holdings.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">What are Margin, Margin Balance, Available Margin, Open Order Margin, Maintenance Margin, Margin Usage, and Effective Leverage?</h3>



<p><strong>Margin</strong> is the funds you deposit with the exchange as collateral to open a position in perpetual trading. This collateral protects the exchange from potential losses due to your position.</p>



<p><strong>1. Margin Balance</strong><br>Total funds in your Futures wallet, including Available Margin (funds still usable) and Locked Margin (used for positions/open orders).</p>



<p><strong>2. Open Order Margin</strong><br>The amount of margin temporarily locked for pending orders (unexecuted limit orders &amp; stop orders).</p>



<p><em>Example (25x Leverage): A $1,000 limit order with 4% IM = $40 (≈ Rp644,280) locked as Open Order Margin.</em></p>



<p><strong>3. Maintenance Margin (MM)</strong><br>The minimum margin required to keep a position open. If your account value falls below the MM threshold, the system will liquidate your position.</p>



<p><em>Example (25x Leverage, 1% MM): For a $1,000 position, required MM = $10. If your margin balance falls below this, the position gets liquidated.</em></p>



<p><strong>4. Available Margin</strong><br>Margin that&#8217;s free to use — funds not locked in open positions or open orders. Can be used to open new positions, pay fees/funding, or place new open orders.</p>



<p>Available Margin depends on the <strong>Initial Margin Buffer</strong> feature:</p>

<li><strong>Buffer ON</strong>: extra margin is locked alongside MM for added safety — smaller available margin, but safer from sudden liquidation. <em>(Example: a $1,000 position locks $40: $10 MM + $30 buffer. With $100 margin balance, available = $60.)</em></li>



<li><strong>Buffer OFF</strong>: only minimum MM is locked — larger available margin, but less protection. <em>(Example: a $1,000 position locks only $10 as MM. With $100 margin balance, available = $90.)</em></li>

<p><strong>5. Margin Usage</strong><br>The percentage of your margin balance currently in use (open positions + open order margin + maintenance margin).</p>

<p><strong>6. Effective Leverage</strong><br>Shows how much exposure you&#8217;re taking relative to your actual margin: <strong>Effective Leverage = Position Size ÷ Margin Balance</strong>.</p>



<p><em>Example: $1,000 position, $100 margin balance → Effective Leverage = 10x.</em></p>



<p>Even if you choose 25x leverage, your effective leverage can be lower if you have more margin. Always monitor this value to manage risk.</p>

<p>Auto-Deleveraging (ADL) is a risk management mechanism designed to maintain platform stability during extreme market conditions.</p>



<p>When liquidation occurs, the system first uses the <strong>Insurance Fund</strong> to cover losses. If losses exceed the Insurance Fund&#8217;s capacity, ADL is activated.</p>



<p>In this condition, the system automatically reduces or closes profitable positions or those with high leverage on the opposite side — keeping the trading environment safe and stable for all users.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">What are Perpetuals in Futures?</h3>



<p>To understand perpetual trading, we first need to understand the concept of derivatives — financial products whose value is based on another asset, in this case crypto assets.</p>



<p>In traditional derivative products like futures contracts (expiry futures), every contract has an expiration date. A perpetual contract is a special type of futures contract because it has <strong>no expiration date</strong> — meaning traders can hold their buy/sell position for as long as they want.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">What is a contract?</h3>



<p>A contract is a legal agreement to buy or sell a specific commodity asset, at a predetermined price at a specific time — known as a futures contract.</p>



<p>Meanwhile, a contract not tied to a specific time is known as a perpetuals contract.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">What are Long and Short in Futures?</h3>



<p><strong>Long</strong> is a position opened when you buy a crypto asset believing its price will rise. When the price rises, you can sell it for profit.</p>



<p><strong>Short</strong> is the opposite of long — you open a position expecting the price to fall, so you can still profit when the crypto&#8217;s price drops.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">What are Entry Price, Mark Price, and Liquidation Price?</h3>



<p><strong>Entry price</strong> is the asset&#8217;s price when you open a long/short position.</p>



<p><strong>Mark price</strong> is the price reference used to calculate profit/loss valuation and risk management in perpetual trading. Mark price comes from a weighted average of index prices from global crypto exchanges, adjusted for funding.</p>



<p><strong>Liquidation price</strong> is the price point where the exchange will liquidate your position to prevent deeper losses. Before reaching this point, the exchange will warn you via a margin call, so you can manually close your position or add funds.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">What is Funding Rate?</h3>



<p>Funding rate is a mechanism that determines the funding level for perpetual futures, since there&#8217;s no expiration date. Funding rate ensures the perpetual contract price aligns with the index price, preventing long-term price divergence.</p>



<p><strong>What are Funding &amp; Settlements?</strong><br>A funding settlement is a periodic payment between long and short position holders based on the applicable funding rate.</p>



<p>Settlement happens every 8 hours, at <strong>07:00, 15:00, and 23:00 WIB</strong>. If the funding rate is positive, long traders pay short traders. If negative, short traders pay long traders.</p>



<p>You only pay/receive funding if you have an open position when settlement occurs. If you close your position before settlement, you won&#8217;t pay or receive funding.</p>



<p><strong>What&#8217;s the Funding Rate at Pintu Futures?</strong><br>It&#8217;s dynamic, following market conditions and demand for a given crypto. Check the current rate on each pair contract&#8217;s trading page, under the &#8220;Funding&#8221; menu.</p>

<p>Margin Usage (MU) is the amount of funds or collateral you use to maintain a leveraged position. On Pintu Futures, MU is shown as a percentage (%).</p>



<p>The higher the percentage, the more of your funds are used to maintain your position. Pintu Futures uses cross-margin, so MU reaching 100% can liquidate all your funds down to 0. That&#8217;s why you should keep MU within a safe range.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="MUS">2. How to Calculate Margin Usage</h3>



<p>MU is calculated by dividing total maintenance margin by available margin plus total maintenance margin:</p>



<p><strong>MU = Total Maintenance Margin / (Available Margin + Total Maintenance Margin)</strong></p>



<p>Example:</p>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Total Maintenance Margin = $100</li>



<li>Available Margin = $50</li>



<li>MU = $100 / ($100 + $50) = 66.6%</li>
</ul>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="DGR">3. Margin Usage Danger Stage</h3>



<p>MU enters the danger stage when it exceeds 75%. This means your position is under threat of liquidation. Liquidation happens when MU reaches 100%.</p>



<p>When MU enters the danger stage, you can still lower it in two ways:</p>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Add margin, or</li>



<li>Close an open order.</li>
</ul>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="WHAT">4. What Is Liquidation?</h3>



<p>Liquidation is the process where your open positions are closed automatically when MU reaches 100%. Because Pintu Futures uses cross-margin, liquidation can reduce all your funds on Pintu Futures to 0.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="LIQ">5. What Happens During Liquidation?</h3>



<p>When MU reaches 100%, the exchange runs a check before liquidating your account:</p>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>If you still have open orders, all open orders are canceled to lower your MU.</li>



<li>If you have no open orders, the exchange liquidates your account by taking over all open positions and remaining margin.</li>
</ul>



<p>During liquidation, your remaining account balance is taken over by the Clearing house (PT KKI) to cover liquidation costs. For example, if you have Rp1.000.000 in maintenance margin at liquidation, that amount is taken by Clearing, leaving your balance at zero.</p>



<p>After that, Clearing strategically closes your positions in the order book to minimize market impact. If this produces a surplus, the excess is allocated to the insurance fund at CFX. The insurance fund acts as a protective reserve so the winning party still receives payment even if the counterparty defaults.</p>

Its purpose is to absorb these losses so that users are less likely to be affected by extreme market swings.
