How do I buy or sell crypto assets?

How much is the trading fee at Pintu?

Pintu doesn’t charge a separate trading fee. The price shown is already the final price, with the transaction cost already factored in.

Why is the buy/sell price different from the price on the Market page?

The price on the Market page and when you enter a transaction amount is an estimated price.

The final price for your transaction is determined by the time and volume of the transaction when confirmed — so it can differ slightly from the initial estimate, depending on the asset amount and how long you take to confirm.

The gap between the buy and sell price (spread) can also change anytime based on market conditions, since Pintu gathers the best price references from various markets to form the final price.

Can my asset’s value reach 0?

Your asset’s value can keep declining if market interest and demand for that asset decreases.

How do I use a voucher code at Pintu?

You can enter a voucher code in the Pintu app to claim active promos, with just one tap on the voucher page.

When an asset’s price goes up, why doesn’t my Rupiah balance go up too?

When a crypto asset’s value/price goes up, your asset’s value only increases if you actually hold that asset.

Your Rupiah balance won’t change as long as you haven’t used it to buy crypto assets, even when the crypto’s value/price goes up.

How do I use the Price Alert feature?

This feature notifies you when an asset’s price hits your target.

  1. Access Price Alert from the Home page (tap the Price Alert button), or from the asset’s page (tap the bell icon).
  2. Tap Create Alert.
  3. Select the crypto asset you want to set an alert for.
  4. Choose the notification frequency: Once or Every time.
  5. Set your target price, then tap Save Alert.

What is the price value chart?

The price value chart is a visual aid you can use to monitor your asset’s value at Pintu. There are 2 types of charts:

  • All-assets chart — shows the total value of all assets you hold at Pintu, in Rupiah value. Accessible on the main Wallet page.
  • Individual asset chart — shows the value of each of your assets, in both Rupiah and Token value. Accessible on each asset’s Wallet page.

How is the Rupiah value on the price chart calculated?

The Rupiah value shown on the chart is the mid-price — the price between the buy and sell price.

The final buy or sell price is calculated at the time you make a transaction, so it can differ from the price shown on the chart.
