BlackRock records IDR5.3 trillion inflow into Bitcoin ETF, AUM reaches IDR2,000 trillion

Jakarta, Pintu News – In early May 2025, BlackRock recorded US$321 million in inflows into the iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT), making it the leader in Bitcoin ETF inflows during the period. With this addition, total assets under management (AUM) by IBIT surpassed US$121 billion, cementing its position as the largest Bitcoin ETF in the world.

Surge in Inflows and Market Dominance

IBIT recorded US$321 million in inflows on a single day, accounting for more than 54% of the total Bitcoin ETF inflows on that day. Since its launch in January 2024, IBIT has amassed over US$41 billion in net inflows, making it the fastest growing ETF among its peers.

IBIT’s strong performance was also reflected in Bitcoin’s price spike, which reached US$105,000 in early May 2025. This increase reflects the growing interest of institutional investors in crypto assets, especially through regulated investment instruments such as ETFs.

In addition, major firms such as Goldman Sachs have also disclosed their holdings in Bitcoin ETFs, including around US$1.2 billion in IBIT and US$288 million in Fidelity’s Bitcoin fund (FBTC). This shows growing confidence in Bitcoin ETFs as a legitimate and regulated investment vehicle.
