Ethereum Just Dropped the Fusaka Upgrade — And It Could Change Smart Contracts Forever!

Jakarta, Pintu News – The latest Ethereum (ETH)upgrade, known as Fusaka, has introduced four significant Ethereum Improvement Proposals (EIPs).

EIP-7907: Contract Code Size Expansion

EIP-7907, proposed by developers including Peter Szilagyi, has increased the contract code size limit from 24KB to 256KB. This increase allows for larger and more feature-rich smart contract deployments.

EIP-7934: Block Size Restriction

EIP-7934, proposed by Giulio Rebuffo, Ben Adams, and Storm Slivkoff, sets a hard size limit on RLP-encoded execution blocks at 10 MiB, with an additional 2 MiB buffer space for beacon blocks.

This prevents large data blocks from affecting network performance or making it vulnerable to denial-of-service attacks. EIP is promoted among network researchers as a valuable mitigation that balances system throughput and reliability.

Web2 Compatibility and Precision Calculations

EIP-7951 introduces precompiled contracts to verify ECDSA signatures using the secp256r1 curve, often called P-256. This makes it easier to connect Ethereum with mainstream web infrastructure, and this curve will be used significantly in Web2 systems.
