Data from CoinGlass shows that open interest for futures jumped to a record high of $8.3 billion this week-a significant increase from just under $1 billion just a few months ago.

Theweighted funding rate has remained positive since June 28 and has reached its highest point in over a week.

An increase in the funding rate is usually a signal that traders expect the future price of XRP to be higher than it is today.

Fund Inflows to XRP ETFs Surge

Meanwhile, the Teucrium 2x Long Daily XRP ETF, which offers leveraged exposure to the token, continues to experience growth. Assets under management have climbed to over $285 million in less than three months-an impressive figure for a fund with an expense ratio of 1.89%.

This trend suggests that more mainstream XRP ETFs, such as those proposed by Bitwise and Franklin Templeton, could potentially attract fund flows from Wall Street investors. The chances of such ETFs being approved by the Securities and Exchange Commission have now risen to almost 90%, according to Polymarket.

Ripple Labs is also working on expanding the XRP Ledger ecosystem. Recently, the company entered into a partnership with Ctrl Alt and Dubai Land Department to provide scalable and secure storage for tokenized property deeds. This comes after Ripple obtained a license to operate in the United Arab Emirates.

The daily chart (16/7) shows that XRP has broken out of the upper boundary of thesymmetrical triangle pattern it has formed over the past seven months. This pattern is part of a bullish pennant, which is a classic uptrend continuation signal.

XRP remains above the 50-day and 200-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA), indicating that thebulls are still in control. The next major level to watch is the all-time record high of $3.3815.

If there is a breakout above this level, then there is an opportunity for an increase towards the psychological resistance at $5.
