Tom Lee expressed an optimistic view on the latest regulatory developments in the crypto sector, especially with the passing of the GENIUS Act which he called a positive trigger for the digital asset ecosystem so far this year.

“I believe that Bitcoin’s price range of $200,000 to $250,000 is still realistic, as it is only about 25% of the total current market capitalization of gold,” Lee said in the interview.

In early 2025, the US Treasury Department released a comprehensive report that officially recognized Bitcoin as digital gold.

Furthermore, in an interview with Bloomberg in June, Michael Saylor, Chairman of MicroStrategy and a long-term supporter of Bitcoin, confidently stated that the bear market cycle is behind us and Bitcoin is destined to reach $1 million in value.

Meanwhile, the crypto analyst known as “Crypto Busy” confirmed that BTC is still showing strength above its bullish flag breakout pattern.

Based on his analysis, as long as Bitcoin is able to stay above the $112,000 support level, there is great potential for the price to surge towards $140,000 as the next major target.

According to Crypto News (23/7), Bitcoin was briefly trading at $118,160, recording a mild decline of 0.20% from its recent record high of $123,000.

Technical analysis shows several resistance zones to be encountered, with the nearest target being around $120,094, followed by the primary target at $122,013, and the advanced target around $128,387.

The RSI (Relative Strength Index) indicator is currently at 48.88, which reflects a neutral position after previously being in overbought territory when the price reached record highs.

This RSI position indicates that Bitcoin still has room to continue rising without immediately entering an overbought condition.
