3 Major Token Unlocks This Week: What Could They Mean for the Market?

Jakarta, Pintu News – Crypto investors are in for a whirlwind week as more than $476 million worth of tokens are unlocked across various networks. Major projects such as Linea (LINEA), Aptos (APT), and Avalanche (AVAX) are leading the wave of unlocking.

These events have the potential to create volatility and affect price movements in the short term. Here’s a breakdown of the key things to note from each project.

Linea (LINEA)

Linea is a zkEVM-based Layer-2 scaling solution for Ethereum (ETH), which offers fast and low-cost transactions while maintaining compatibility with Ethereum (ETH) security tools and systems.

On November 10, the project will unlock 2.88 billion tokens worth approximately $37.9 million, which is equivalent to 16.44% of the current circulating supply.

The token distribution will be divided in three categories: 600.08 million tokens for long-term alignment, 480.07 million for the Ignition program, and 1.8 billion tokens prepared for future airdrops.

Aptos (APT)

A total of 11.31 million tokens worth approximately $36.53 million will be opened on November 11, following a cliff-based monthly opening pattern. This amount is equivalent to 0.43% of the outstanding supply.

The token distribution will include 3.96 million APT for core contributors, 3.21 million for the community, and 2.81 million for investors. Meanwhile, the Aptos foundation will receive 1.33 million tokens.

On November 15, a total of 1.67 million AVAX tokens will be unlocked with a value of approximately $29.84 million. These tokens represent 0.33% of the circulating supply, and will be entirely allocated to the Avalanche foundation.
