Zcash Price Prediction: Arthur Hayes Says ZEC Has the Potential to Break $10,000

Jakarta, Pintu News – Arthur Hayes, co-founder of BitMEX, is increasingly focusing on Zcash (ZEC), calling it the second most important asset in his family office portfolio after Bitcoin (BTC).

Hayes has publicly supported this privacy-focused cryptocurrency in recent months, stating that ZEC has the potential to reach $10,000 in the future.

In a recent post on X, Hayes said that he is still slightly below his stated investment target and may increase his holdings if the price returns to the $300-$350 range.

A chart shared by Hayes shows that Zcash rose from under $50 to $461.12 on Binance, registering a gain of 920%, based on data from TradingView. The cryptocurrency recorded a 3.99% rise in a single day, adding $17.69, and briefly surpassed $600 in early October before consolidating.

The rally that started in late August has resulted in a total gain of $415.96 in six months, with consistent buying momentum and increased trading volume.

Despite the prolonged price drop, ZEC continues to trade near the highest levels in recent years, outperforming most major digital assets in the second half of 2025.

ZEC Becomes the Second Largest Liquid Asset in Maelstrom

This latest statement follows an earlier update from Hayes, who mentioned that Zcash is now the second largest liquid asset in the portfolio of his family office, Maelstrom Fund, after Bitcoin.

“Due to the price increase, ZEC is now the second largest liquid asset in MaelstromFund’s portfolio after BTC,” he wrote.

However, according to data from CoinMarketCap, ZEC recorded a decline of 11.35% in the last 24 hours, trading at $466.31, with a market capitalization of $7.6 billion. Daily trading volume stood at $2.33 billion, down 51.78% from the previous day, reflecting reduced activity after prices reached recent highs.

Zcash’s circulating supply currently stands at 16.3 million coins, which is 78% of its total 21 million coin limit. The 24-hour chart shows a high of $519 and a low near $450, then stabilizing around $466.
