This token unlock will add new liquidity to the market, which also has the potential to trigger price fluctuations and volatility. The following is a breakdown of the highlights of each of these projects.

Ethene (ENA)

• Number of Tokens to be Unlocked: 171.88 million ENA
• Circulated Supply: 7.24 billion ENA
• Total Supply: 15 billion ENA

Ethena is a synthetic dollar protocol built on the Ethereum (ETH) network. The main product of the protocol is USDe, a synthetic dollar stablecoin. Meanwhile, ENA serves as the governance token of the protocol.

Today, the Ethena team will unlock 171.88 million ENA tokens. The tokens are worth approximately $42.91 million and represent 2.37% of the circulating supply.

Of these, core contributors will receive 93.75 million tokens, while investors will get 78.13 million ENA.

Hyperliquid (HYPE)

• Unlock Date: January 6
• Number of Tokens to be Unlocked: 12.46 million HYPE
• Circulated Supply: 345.08 million HYPE
• Total Supply: Approximately 1 billion HYPE

Hyperliquid is a high-performance decentralized perpetual futures exchange built on its own Layer 1 blockchain. The platform offers an on-chain order book, fast execution, and non-custodial trading.

On January 6, the project will unlock 12.46 million tokens, which is worth approximately $330.51 million. This is equivalent to 3.6% of the total supply currently in circulation.

All tokens unlocked will be given to the project’s core contributors. This unlock comes after the project released 9.92 million tokens last week.

Aptos (APT)

• Unlock Date: January 11
• Number of Tokens to be Unlocked: 11.31 million APT
• Circulated Supply: 1.62 billion APT
• Total Supply: 2.6 billion APT

Aptos is a Layer 1 blockchain that focuses on high speed, scalability, and security. It uses the Move programming language and executes transactions in parallel to improve performance. Aptos supports various Web3 applications such as DeFi, NFTs, games, and consumer applications.

On January 11, Aptos will unlock 11.31 million tokens worth approximately $21.94 million, according to their monthly cliff unlock pattern. This amount represents about 0.70% of the circulating supply.

Of the total tokens unlocked, 3.96 million APT will go to core contributors. The community will receive 3.21 million tokens, investors will get 2.81 million, and 1.33 million tokens will be allocated to the foundation.

In addition to these three major projects, several other projects such as Linea (LINEA), Movement (MOVE), and IOTA (IOTA) will also see additional token supply to the market this week.
