Grayscale Proposes for BNB ETF with Ticker GBNB!

Jakarta, Pintu News – Leading digital asset management company Grayscale on Friday filed a registration statement with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for its Grayscale BNB ETF product.

If approved, this product will allow Grayscale to own BNB (BNB), a digital asset based on an open-source cryptographic protocol that runs on the BNB Smart Chain network.

Grayscale BNB ETF Will Use Ticker GBNB

In the S-1 filing document, Grayscale informed the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) that the fund is sponsored by Grayscale Investments Sponsors, LLC and incorporated in the state of Delaware.

If the filing is approved, Grayscale will be able to offer a spot ETF product called Grayscale BNB ETF with the ticker GBNB. Grayscale also shared its plans to list this ETF product on the Nasdaq Stock Market LLC.

For your information, BNB is the native token of BNB Chain, a blockchain protocol closely related to the crypto exchange Binance. Currently, BNB ranks fourth by market capitalization, at over $121 billion, according to data from CoinMarketCap.

In addition to the Nasdaq listing, Grayscale’s filing also revealed that the investment firm will use Bank of New York Mellon as the transfer agent for the ETF product, and Coinbase Custody Trust Company, LLC will act as the custodian.

New Second BNB ETF Proposal

With this latest filing, Grayscale becomes the second company to propose a BNB ETF to the SEC. VanEck pioneered with a similar filing in May 2025, aiming to provide BNB ETF services for institutional and retail investors with regulated exposure.

Notably, Grayscale’s BNB ETF filing is in line with the surge in crypto ETF filings that has been steadily increasing over the past year. This trend is driven by an increasingly favorable regulatory and political environment for digital assets in the US, and is having an impact globally.

If approved, GBNB will be part of Grayscale’s growing list of ETF products, having previously launched ETFs for Chainlink (LINK), Dogecoin (DOGE), XRP (XRP), Bitcoin (BTC), and Ethereum (ETH), among others.
