Huma Finance Reveals Tokenomics and Drops a Massive 5% Airdrop for Loyal Users!

Jakarta, Pintu News – Huma Protocol, a platform in the emerging PayFi sector, has officially announced tokenomics and Season 1 airdrop plans for HUMA tokens.

The project attracted the interest of many venture capital firms, as the PayFi sector is considered very promising. However, in the current market conditions, retail investors tend to be less interested in the traditional airdrop format.

Huma Finance Shares 5% Airdrop for Users

PayFi combines instant payments with decentralized finance (DeFi), leveraging blockchain technology to enable fast, efficient, and cost-effective financial transactions.

Huma Protocol aims to lead this trend by integrating DeFi with real-world assets (RWAs).

The team designed the HUMA token to serve as both a utility and governance token, and encourage community participation for the long-term benefit of all stakeholders, including users, liquidity providers, partners, and developers.

Huma Protocol announced its Season 1 airdrop plan by allocating 5% of the total HUMA supply (500 million tokens) for loyal users. However, many thought this allocation felt quite small.

“5% for season 1 airdrop is too little,” said a CryptoStalker investor.

Total HUMA Token Supply Capped at 10 Billion

Despite the criticism, the Huma Foundation insists that this is just the beginning. The Foundation has planned a second airdrop with an allocation of 2.1% of the total supply, which will take place about three months after the token generation event (TGE).

In addition, HUMA’s total token supply is capped at a maximum of 10 billion tokens, with an initial circulating supply of 17.33%.

Token distribution includes:

• 31% for liquidity and ecosystem providers,
• 20.6% for investors,
• 19.3% for teams and advisors,
• 11.1% for protocol cash.

The token release schedule will continue until the end of 2029. Tokens allocated to the team and investors will be locked for 12 months, then follow a three-year vesting period.

The allocation to liquidity providers and ecosystems will decrease by 7% each quarter. This percentage can be adjusted through protocol governance.

Huma Finance Faces Opportunities and Challenges

Huma Protocol continues to grow along with the popularity of PayFi. With governments starting to develop crypto- and stablecoin-friendly policies, crypto-based payments have the potential to become a major alternative to traditional payment systems.

“Web2 has many problems, one of which is the centralized payment network. Slow transactions, high fees, and lack of control for users. But now there is a solution. Huma Finance is the first PayFi network that aims to accelerate global payments with instant liquidity access anywhere and anytime,” says investor Niels.

According to a Coingecko report based on research from Mordor Intelligence, the global payment funding market is expected to reach US$2.85 trillion by 2024 and grow to US$4.78 trillion by 2029.

“This massive growth demonstrates the urgent need for scalable, efficient, and accessible financial infrastructure-which is what PayFi is focused on,” the report said.

Because of this, pioneers like Huma Protocol gain a competitive advantage. The project has raised more than US$46 million from investors such as Haskey Capital and Circle.

However, current market conditions have not been able to provide Huma with strong initial momentum. Low airdrop allocations and shifting user interests, influenced by new models such as Binance Alpha, have made traditional airdrops less desirable.
