Ethereum Whales Resume Accumulation, Signaling a Potential ETH Market Revival

Jakarta, Pintu News – Ethereum (ETH) market movements are attracting attention again after signs emerged that the big holders (whales and sharks) are starting to change their strategies.

Large Ethereum Holders Begin to Increase Holdings

Based on the latest data from Santiment, large holders who own between 100 and 10,000 ETH seem to have started adding to their stash. However, previously, between October 5 and 16, this group had sold around 1.36 million ETH.

Now, they have bought back about one-sixth of that amount. In a market that is often influenced by the sentiment of large investors, a move like this is often taken as a signal that they are starting to see great potential in the asset.

In addition, global macroeconomic conditions also influenced the situation. US CPI (Consumer Price Index) data for September 2025 showed an increase of 0.3% on a monthly basis and 3.0% on an annual basis. This was slightly lower than the previous projection of 3.1%.

Although the difference was small, the market immediately speculated that the possibility of an interest rate cut by the Fed could be open. If the Fed eases monetary policy, market liquidity could potentially increase, and assets like Ethereum would typically have more room to move freely.

ETH Accumulation Trend Becomes More Evident

Not only has the movement of large wallets become more conspicuous, Ethereum reserves on exchanges have also been consistently declining. CNF reported a few days ago that the amount of ETH stored on exchanges continues to shrink, while activity on the network is increasingly dominated by large-scale spot orders.

This generally indicates that the supply available for trading is decreasing. If demand remains stable or even increases, supply-side pressure could push prices up.

Interestingly, a few days ago news broke that a group of investors from Asia is ready to form a $1 billion Ethereum treasury fund. The team involved is no ordinary name.

Li Lin, founder of Huobi who now leads Avenir Capital, teamed up with Xiao Feng of HashKey Group, Shen Bo of Fenbushi Capital, and Cai Wensheng, founder of Meitu Inc.

This move suggests that long-term interest in Ethereum does not appear to be waning. Instead, it could signal Ethereum’s entry into a new, quieter but deeper phase in terms of investment commitments.

Is Ethereum Ready to Break the Triangle Pattern?

Analyst Ali Martinez revealed that Ethereum is currently still moving in a triangular pattern technically. This pattern generally signals a consolidation phase, where prices tend to move in a narrow range before finally choosing the next direction of movement.

Martinez predicts that if the price of ETH manages to break out of this pattern, the movement could push the price towards the ambitious target of $10,000.

As of October 25, the price of Ethereum is at around $3,930.31. In the last four hours, ETH has slightly declined by around 0.05%, but still recorded a 1.10% gain in 24 hours. Spot daily trading volume was recorded at $3.81 billion, while open interest (open positions in the derivatives market) has reached $46.02 billion.

This suggests that interest in Ethereum in the derivatives market remains high. Typically, large open interest reflects a large number of positions that are waiting for the next big move in price.
