Pintu Pro offers several order execution methods that determine how your order is processed in the order book. Four methods are available: Good Till Canceled (GTC), Immediate or Cancel (IOC), Fill or Kill (FOK), and Post-Only. Here&#8217;s an explanation of each.

<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="GTC">1. Good Till Canceled (GTC)</h3>



GTC is a limit order execution type that stays active until the order is filled or you cancel it. It&#8217;s ideal if you want your order to wait in the order book with no time limit.



<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="IOC">2. Immediate or Cancel (IOC)</h3>



IOC is a mechanism to buy or sell your entire order as quickly as possible at the best available price. Any unfilled portion of the order is automatically canceled. So, IOC allows partial fills.



<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="FOK">3. Fill or Kill (FOK)</h3>



FOK is an instruction to buy or sell an asset that must be executed in full and immediately, or not at all. Unlike IOC, FOK does not allow partial fills.



<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="PO">4. Post-Only</h3>



Post-Only is a limit order type that adds liquidity to the order book. This order won&#8217;t be executed immediately if its price matches an existing ask/bid. This method is ideal if you want to ensure your order enters as a maker.

What is the maximum position that can be held on Pintu Futures?

Long is a situation where a user buys a crypto asset expecting to sell it at a higher price for more gains later.



Short is the opposite of long. So, users will open a position because they expect the price to fall. Users can have more opportunities in a bearish situation as they can make more gains when the price of an asset is falling.

What is a Long and Short in Futures?

Leverage is a trading feature that allows users to borrow capital from the exchange to trade with larger funds. Currently, Pintu Futures offers 25x leverages.



You can boost your purchasing power with leverage, increasing your potential gains. However, using leverage also comes with a higher risk of liquidation.

What is a Leverage on Pintu Futures?

<li>To open a position on Futures, you can do it via the Market page on Pintu Pro.</li>



<li>Once on the Market page, select the Futures tab to see a list of available crypto pairings.</li>



<li>You can click directly on the pairing or search for it in the search bar.</li>



<li>Once on the trade page, select the market order option to use the current market price. Choose limit order if you have a specific target price.</li>



<li>Then, enter the amount. You can immediately open a position by pressing the buy/long button (if you believe the asset price will increase) or sell/short (if you believe the asset price will decrease).</li>



<li>Click confirm to complete the transaction.</li>



<li>If you use a market order, you will immediately open a new position, as seen in the Positions tab. Meanwhile, if you use a limit order, your position will be in the Open Order tab until the target price is reached.</li>

How Do I Open a Position on Pintu Futures?

Here are the steps to add margin to your Pintu Futures account:

<li>Go to the Pintu Pro wallet page, then select the transfer menu.</li>



<li>Then, choose Pintu Futures as the destination.</li>



<li>Enter the amount of USDT you want to send. Only USDT assets can be sent from/to the Pintu Futures wallet.</li>



<li>After that, click the transfer button and the sending process will happen instantly and with zero fee.</li>

How do I add margin on Pintu Futures?

No, you have to do close position one by one.

Can I close all my positions at once on Pintu Futures?

No. Pintu Futures only supports cross margin future trading.

Is there an Isolated or Cross option in Pintu Futures?

Pintu Futures now supports the adjustable leverage feature, allowing you to customize your leverage level based on your trading needs. You can start with a lower leverage or increase it up to 25x.

How do I adjust leverage on Pintu Futures?

Because you do not have sufficient available margin. To open new positions and orders, please add your margin via <a href="https://pintu.co.id/en/faq/how-do-i-add-margin-on-pintu-pro-futures">transfer</a> or canceled your existing open orders.

Why am I not able to open a new position or place a new order?

Liquidation happens when margin usage reaches a 100% level. Therefore, to avoid liquidation, the trick is to make sure your margin usage does not reach 100%. Here are three ways to lower your margin usage: First, you can increase your margin balance. Second, you can cancel your open orders. Third, you can close the position at risk of reaching the liquidation price.

How to avoid being liquidated?

Entry price refers to the price at which a trader opens long or short positions. 



Mark price is a reference price used for perpetual futures profit and loss valuation as well as risk management. The mark price is calculated from a weighted average of index prices from global crypto exchanges adjusted for funding. 



Liquidation price is the price point at which the exchange will liquidate a trader&#8217;s position to prevent further losses. Before reaching the liquidation price, the exchange will give a warning through a margin call so that traders can close their positions manually or deposit additional funds.

What are entry price, mark price, and liquidation price?

Market close is an instruction to close a position based on the best price in the order book (real-time). Limit close is an instruction to close a position automatically when the asset reaches a specified target price.

What are Market Close and Limit Close?

Are trading fees in Pintu Pro App and Pintu Pro Web different?

The transaction fees will be deducted from the asset you are receiving. 



For example, if you buy BTC, you will receive BTC and pay fees in BTC. 



If you are selling BTC, you will receive IDR and pay fees in IDR. 



Maker Trade: Receiving amount x 0.075% 



Taker Trade: Receiving amount x 0.1%

How is the calculation of cryptocurrency purchases/sales done on Pintu Pro?

The minimum and maximum amount per crypto buy/sell transaction on Pintu varies depending on the asset being traded. 



If you want to buy/sell crypto more than the maximum amount, please split the buy/sell into several transactions.

Unlike Market Orders, Limit Orders may not be filled immediately due to various reasons:

<li>The price you set your limit order at is too high/low and does not have a corresponding order to match</li>



<li>There are orders placed prior to your order by other users, and your order simply may not have been executed. </li>
</ul>

Why is my limit order not executing?

<li>Click on your preferred market via the Homepage or Markets page or simply enter the Trade tab to begin trading on Pintu Pro </li>



<li>Select your desired trade method depending on the type of trade you wish to execute:

<li>Market Order: If you would like to place buy/sell orders for tokens at the market rate</li>



<li>Limit Order: If you would like to place buy/sell orders for tokens only at a given price. </li>
</ul>
</li>



<li>Enter the Amount you wish to trade (or you can also use the % slider at the bottom of the form) </li>



<li>Review your order details one last time before placing your orders. Remember Market Orders are filled immediately and cannot be reverted. </li>
