Cryptography is the study and practice of securing information through encryption and decryption to prevent unwanted parties from reading information. The technique utilizes ciphers, an algorithm to turn regular messages (called ‚Äúplaintext‚ÄĚ in cryptography) into unreadable random gibberish (called ‚Äúciphertext‚ÄĚ).

The emergence of radio and internet communications requires more sophisticated and stronger encryption. Additionally, through the use of computers, new methods of plaintext scrambling became available that are effectively unbreakable.

Cryptography is a default in a lot of computer communication. Furthermore, the Bitcoin (BTC) network and other cryptocurrencies use several versions of cryptography and hash.
