At the top of the list of richest Bitcoin addresses are not individuals, but giant “cold” wallets managed by crypto exchanges.

These custodial wallets are used to maintain platform liquidity and protect customer funds, and they dominate the top rankings in various Bitcoin wallet tracking tools.

Binance

According to Cointelegraph, the cold wallet holding the most Bitcoin is Binance’s main cold wallet, which currently holds about 248,600 BTC, equivalent to about 1.25% of the total Bitcoin supply in circulation, with a value of over $26 billion.

According to data from Glassnode, as well as trackers like BitInfoCharts and CoinCodex, this wallet is the largest in the world. Its transaction activity is infrequent but large-suggesting that it is used for long-term reserve management, not for day trading.
