Jakarta, Pintu News – The Pi Network team has issued a reminder regarding important steps that users should take as part of the migration requirements to the mainnet.
This sparked speculation that the team might be planning something big for community members.
In a post on platform X, the Pi Core Team sent a message to Pioneers who have not yet migrated to the Mainnet, asking them to check the third step in the Mainnet checklist to ensure that they have completed two-factor authentication (2FA) for their Pi wallet.

The Pi Network team emphasized that this step is an essential requirement in the migration process to the Mainnet. This reminder comes amidst a number of community members still experiencing difficulties in transferring their tokens from Testnet to Mainnet.
Following the announcement from the Pi core team, a number of community members began to speculate that there would be a major update announced soon.
In a post on X, one of the community’s most recognizable members, Woody Lightyear, questioned the possibility of a major update coming.
Meanwhile, another member named Notorious stated that “something big” was about to happen and advised the Pioneers to get ready.
One of the major updates that the community has been looking forward to the most so far is the possible listing of Pi Coin on one of the major crypto exchanges. Recently, the latest update to the Pi wallet has included support for “Binance Connect” and “Binance P2P”, which hints at a possible listing on Binance.
Meanwhile, it is important to note that the US regulated exchange, Swapfone, has officially listed Pi Coin. The token is now available on several platforms such as MEXC, OKX, Gate.io, LBank, and Swapfone.
In a post on the X platform, popular Pi Network influencer Dr. Altcoin commented on concerns about Pi wallets being hacked and passphrases being stolen.

He thinks that these concerns are valid and suggests that the Pi Core Team should take them seriously by developing robust solutions.
Dr. Altcoin proposed that the Pi team implement multi-factor authentication (MFA) for wallet access. He emphasized that accessing the Pi wallet with just a passphrase is quite risky, as if the phrase falls into the wrong hands, anyone can access and drain the wallet’s contents.
Therefore, he recommends that an extra layer of security be added.
According to him, after Pi Network users enter a passphrase, the wallet system should ask for additional verification such as fingerprints or biometrics. Dr. Altcoin believes that this extra step will prevent unauthorized access even if the passphrase has been leaked.
