Jakarta, Pintu News – After a thorough security upgrade, the Shiba Inu ecosystem (SHIB) development team has reopened the Shibarium Plasma Bridge for BONE tokens.
In its latest update, the team confirmed that users can now securely transfer BONE tokens between the Shibarium and Ethereum (ETH) networks.
The move comes more than a month after the bridge was suspended due to a major security breach that saw hackers steal more than $4 million worth of digital assets, including SHIB and LEASH.
In a recent update, lead developer Kaal Dhairya shared that the Plasma Bridge for BONE is now active again. Currently, the team is also planning to reopen the Plasma Bridge for other tokens such as SHIB and TREAT, which will be done gradually after further testing.

The reopening of Plasma Bridge also comes with two major security enhancements, namely: blocklist feature and a seven-day withdrawal delay.
The blocklist feature is a proactive system that allows the team to detect and block suspicious addresses directly at the bridge layer.
In addition, the Shiba Inu ecosystem team is also implementing a seven-day finalization delay for all BONE token withdrawals via Plasma Bridge. This mechanism is designed to allow sufficient time for validators and security teams to monitor and respond to suspicious activity.
With this new system in place, the process of moving BONE tokens between the Ethereum and Shibarium networks now involves three stages: depositing tokens on the originating network, waiting for a seven-day finalization period, and withdrawing funds on the destination network.
Before its re-release, Plasma Bridge went through a series of layered testing and validation, including unit tests, simulations, as well as the launch of an updated version on Puppynet, the beta version of Shibarium.
Leading cybersecurity company Hexens also conducted an independent review of all the changes before they were officially implemented.
In addition, Kaal Dhairya also shared an update regarding the 5 ETH bounty previously announced by K9 DAO last month to recover stolen KNINE tokens.

The update explains that the 5 ETH bounty offer has expired, as the attackers declined the offer. Although most of the stolen tokens – including BAD – have been sold by the hackers, they cannot use the KNINE token as it has been blacklisted.
After the first bounty expires, the team plans to issue a larger and final bounty offer to encourage the full return of stolen KNINE tokens.
In the same update, the team also shared that they are finalizing a repayment program for users affected by previous bridge exploitation incidents, with a commitment to transparency and fairness.
However, they emphasized that full details regarding the replacement process will be announced through official channels once all security and compliance checks are completed.
Until the examination process is complete, victimized users need to be patient and wait to receive replacement funds.
