Jakarta, Pintu News – MegaETH, an emerging platform in the Ethereum ecosystem, will open access to its mainnet beta known as Frontier to developers next week.
According to a December 8 update on X, the infrastructure team has begun deploying their applications on the network. This phase is scheduled as a month-long beta period beginning early December, giving developers, early adopters, and the team the opportunity to test real-time execution features.
Frontier is designed as the final step before the full launch of MegaETH’s public mainnet. Over the next month, this phase will be focused on developers and application builders to test various features such as sub-millisecond latency, in-memory processing, and just-in-time compilation for smart contracts.
The MegaETH team has stated that this period will prioritize stability without incentives, and short downtimes may occur as part of performance boundary testing.

Before entering Frontier’s beta phase, MegaETH experienced several challenges, including configuration issues with the pre-deposit bridge launched on November 25 to allow users to load USDC collateral.
However, all deposits were returned on November 27, and the team committed to redesigning the bridge with an audit before relaunching. This decision received widespread support from the community, who saw this as a sign that the team was not willing to compromise on safety.

If the testing window goes as scheduled, a full mainnet launch could happen as soon as January 2026, completing a two-year build towards what MegaETH calls “real-time Ethereum”.
With support for over 100,000 transactions per second, this high-performance layer-2 is expected to transform the way blockchain applications operate, delivering unprecedented performance in the Ethereum ecosystem.
By entering the Frontier beta phase, MegaETH is not only testing the limits of blockchain technology but also reinforcing its commitment to security and stability. The next month will be crucial to determine how ready MegaETH is to provide real-time performance in production. Communities and developers around the world await the results of these trials with great anticipation.
MegaETH is a platform being developed within the Ethereum ecosystem, which aims to provide a high-performance layer-2 solution with support for over 100,000 transactions per second.
The Frontier MegaETH mainnet beta is scheduled to launch to developers next week, early December.
The goal of the Frontier beta is to test real-time execution features such as sub-millisecond latency and just-in-time compilation for smart contracts, in conditions close to a live environment.
The pre-deposit bridge launched on November 25 was stopped due to configuration issues, and all deposits were refunded on November 27. The team plans to redesign the bridge with an audit before relaunching it.
If beta testing goes well, MegaETH’s full mainnet launch could happen as soon as January 2026.
